- Customized professional quality acrylic paintings on canvas. The edges are painted so there is no need for a frame.
- Dogs, Cats and Horses can be painted. (Or any other pet you might want a painting of.)
- The painting is designed from digital images that you provide of your pet. (or Lisa can scan an
original photo that you mail to her - a crisp clear photo is required in this case.)
* PHOTO TIPS *
- Lisa will consult with you during the design stage. You will email Lisa your favourite photos and you will both work together to decide which one is most appropriate for a painting. Lisa will make up some "mock ups" of the painting. You will approve the sample before she starts painting. Once it is almost finished, she will email a photo of it to you for your approval.
-Some of the questions that Lisa will ask you:
-Do you want the painting on smooth canvas, or would you like some texture underneath?
-Do you want realistic colours, or fun wild colours?
-What colour do you want the background to be (usually a solid colour with very little detail)?
-Do you want a coloured outline of your pet's head/body? If so, what colour?
- Prices depend on canvas size and how many pets are in the painting. Payment: half up front, half on completion. Different size configurations are available (your photo determines the best shape of the canvas). Add 25% for each additional pet in the same painting. Discount of 5% is available on orders of 2 or more canvases.

24 x 30" $1150 (larger sizes also available)
- If you are not from the Victoria area, your painting will be shipped safely packaged and insured. Shipping cost is not included in the quote and will depend on size and where it is being shipped to. (Please contact Lisa for a quote.).
-Some of the best workable photos are those taken outdoors in sunlight, where part of your pet's face is in shadow. Outdoor photos in overcast light are OK, and indoor flash photos are OK, but they will have a slightly less dynamic appearance.
-Close up photos are best. Make sure your pet's body or head fills most of the frame.
-High quality photos are best. Make sure your camera is set to take photos in a higher quality mode. Lower quality photos will not have as much depth and may be impossible to work with.
-Of course, the best photo is the one that you feel most portrays the personality of your pet!
